About the role

We are looking for a Scrum Master to guide the team in adoption and application of Agile and Scrum practices and values. The ideal candidate will have good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

Experience & Responsibilities

  • Guiding the team in adoption and application of Agile and Scrum practices and values.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments.
  • Facilitating scrum team’s ability to self-organise.
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.
  • Supporting the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example.
  • Building a culture of iterative and continuous improvement.
  • Promote best practices and educate areas of the wider business.
  • Promote a sense of ownership within the Scrum team.
  • Constantly looking for ways to evolve processes.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of other Agile/Lean frameworks: XP, Kanban etc.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques, such as User Stories, BDD, TDD, CI/CD, Pairing, Automated Testing and more.
  • Assertive enough to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to whilst providing a voice of reason and authority.
  • Capable of winning the respect and trust of the teams around you, influencing through knowledge, confidence and belief in what you do.
  • Understand the need to be pragmatic and the importance of MVP in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
