Come for cyber resilience. Stay for the outcomes.

Why We Commissioned a Forrester Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) Study
In enterprise security, “ROI” is often met with a healthy dose of well-deserved skepticism. We’ve all seen the triple-digit returns and eye-catching percentages that feel more like marketing artifacts than decision-grade evidence.
When we decided to commission a Forrester Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study, we weren’t looking to create hype. Security leaders are under sustained pressure to justify spend, not just describe risk. They’re being asked a simple, difficult question: what does this investment deliver in financial terms?
Our goal in commissioning the TEI study was straightforward: get an independent financial analysis, grounded in customer interviews, using a transparent methodology.
Beyond the Spreadsheet: The Value of Readiness
Our mission has always been to help organisations prove, improve, benchmark, and report cyber resilience. Immersive One is built to support that operating model.
And the way we talk about that, day to day, is through six outcomes:
- Prove Faster Detection, Response & Decision-Making: Cut MTTD/MTTR and make better business decisions under pressure.
- Secure the Next-Gen Modern Enterprise (Code, Cloud, OT, Identities): Shrink attack surface and cut remediation time across the modern stack.
- Enable Secure AI Adoption, Innovation & Governance: Adopt AI safely with trained people, tested controls, and governed operations.
- Transform Compliance into Evidence & Benchmarks (NIST, MITRE, DORA, SEC): Move from checkbox compliance to auditable proof mapped to recognised frameworks, with benchmarks.
- Build & Retain a Verifiable Cyber Ready Workforce: Accelerate onboarding, upskill continuously, and retain talent with visible progression.
- Enhance Supply Chain and Third-Party Cyber Resilience: Elevate supply-chain resilience with third-party simulations and benchmarking.
The TEI study adds a financial lens to that conversation: it models costs and benefits over time for a composite organisation, and makes the assumptions explicit.
What the Study Reports
In the commissioned study, Forrester Consulting modelled a composite organisation (based on customer interviews) and reported:
- 327% ROI over three years
- $2.2M Net Present Value (NPV)
- Payback in less than six months
These figures are based on Forrester’s composite organisation model and assumptions. Outcomes will vary by organisation. Readers should use their own estimates within the framework provided in the study to evaluate the appropriateness of an investment.
Where the Financial Impact Is Modelled
The TEI framework models financial impact across benefit categories that may apply differently depending on your environment, including:
- Reclaimed productivity: Reduced rework and faster remediation through earlier, more consistent secure practices.
- Resource optimisation: Reduced reliance on external hiring through structured skills development and progression.
- Consolidated training spend: Replacing fragmented programmes with a unified platform approach across roles.
- Response efficiency: Faster, more coordinated performance through realistic exercises and simulations.
The point is not that every organisation will see the same numbers. The point is that the model is explicit, the methodology is clear, and the assumptions are visible.
A Framework You Can Defend
For CISOs and executive teams, the TEI study provides a structured financial framework to support evaluation and discussion of cyber resilience investment.
It is not intended to be a competitive analysis. It is not a guarantee of results. It is a commissioned study delivered by Forrester Consulting that organisations can use as a reference point — and then adjust based on their own context.
