Since the 3am idea that became Immersive Labs, we’ve held true to our belief in the power of immersive experiences in building cyber workforce resilience.

There is nothing better for developing the kind of in-depth cyber knowledge, skills and judgment that will help stem the growing tide of cyber risk than simulating real-world experiences. Only by dropping people into the shoes of a defender can they truly develop the kinds of capabilities needed when the worst happens in the real world.

It’s hugely exciting to be able to share this belief with other like-minded entrepreneurs and work together to take it to the next level. Today’s announcement of our acquisition of Snap Labs is evidence of this, taking us a step closer to realizing our vision of helping every organization stand confident in the face of cyber threats.

First and foremost, I’d like to welcome the founders of Snap Labs to Immersive Labs. Chris Myers and Barrett Adams will be exceptional assets to our team, bringing with them a wealth of experience and expertise, and a powerful vision for greater cyber resilience through human capability. We’re all eager to see what we can achieve together.

Our plan for this acquisition is, in true Immersive Labs style, as grand and ambitious as ever. The integrated platform will allow customers to run labs and exercises in a cloud-based replica of their own organization. This will not only facilitate hyper-realistic crisis scenarios targeted to your specific organization, but also allow technical teams to work cooperatively in an expansive virtual environment.

As cyber risk permeates every function in every business, the time is right for workforce-wide cyber capabilities tailored to the specific nuances of each organization. When incorporated into the wider Immersive Labs platform, it builds on our ability to create a continuous cycle of human cyber capability improvement with greater realism and relevancy. With regular exercising and evidencing against internal and anonymized peer benchmark data, the cyber knowledge, skills and judgement of the entire workforce can keep pace with risk.

We hope that with this acquisition, and the bringing together of two such innovative platforms, we will further accelerate the disruption this market sorely needs.
