Since our inception, Immersive Labs has been focused on making cybersecurity more accessible and measurable for more people, including those from non-traditional backgrounds. So, we’re excited to share that we’ve teamed up with Virtually Testing Foundation (VTF) to empower more individuals to succeed in cybersecurity.

VTF, based in Los Angeles, California, is an educational non-profit that supports over 50,000 global members on their journey to cybersecurity success. They provide education and hands-on experiences for students to gain the knowledge and skills they need to excel in the cybersecurity job market. Like us, they believe that everyone, regardless of their background or financial circumstances, should have the opportunity to pursue a career in the field.

Through this new relationship, VTF instructors will have access to the Immersive Labs platform to stay current with the latest cybersecurity capabilities and best practices, and VTF students will have the opportunity to purchase Immersive Labs licenses for access to thousands of practical, hands-on labs aligned with NIST/NICE frameworks.

Benefits of our hands-on labs

Our hands-on labs provide many benefits to everyone from job seekers looking to enter cybersecurity, to those who are further in their careers.

Users who access our platform through VTF’s program can:

  • Improve individual and team cybersecurity  capabilities across a comprehensive range of subjects
  • Benchmark and prove current levels of cyber capabilities
  • Demonstrate ability aligned to security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Improve speed of response to emerging threats
  • Reduce vulnerabilities early and across the SDLC
  • Securely configure cloud workloads

Our realistic exercises complement the existing VTF curriculum, and Immersive Labs users – both instructors and students, alike – will gain proof of capabilities to help them demonstrate their proficiency in essential skills.

Through our collaboration and a shared vision, we’re helping to solve the cyber talent gap. To learn more about VTF and what they’re doing to support new entrants into cybersecurity, please visit them here.
