Ben McCarthy

Lead Cyber Security Engineer

A seasoned expert with a decade in low-level reverse engineering and a passion for assembly language, Ben began his career analyzing malware before advancing to exploit development.Prior to Immersive, he was embedded within government agencies, focusing on Windows Internals, reverse engineering, exploit development, and malware analysis. Ben has trained security teams in the UK and US to reverse engineer software for rapid response.

Throughout his career, he has discovered numerous security vulnerabilities, many recognized with CVE identifiers, while others were remediated through private or classified channels. His vulnerability research expertise has significantly contributed to strengthening infrastructure and enterprise systems against emerging threats.
