His career began with 15 years in the military’s Royal Signals, where he progressed from radio technician to malware analyst, protecting UK MOD networks against evolving cyber threats. That deep technical foundation - combined with his tradecraft in defensive, offensive, and deceptive cyber operations - gives him a rare perspective on how threats actually work and how defenses really fail.

What sets Kev apart is his prolific open-source research. He’s created and released toolkits for network defenders focused on malware analysis and decryption, and authored YARA rules that remain recommended by VirusTotal.
